What will you do to save the BLM mustangs?

No matter how small and insignificant you may feel, just remember it only takes one person to make a difference. Now I ask you, what will you do to save the BLM mustangs that are facing death by euthanasia or being sold without protection from slaughter, rodeos, or torture? What will you do to save these magnificent creatures from such horror and fear?

Many of you might be saying to yourself, "I am only one person how can I make a difference? What can one person do?" and many people will also look the other way so they don't have to acknowledge what is happening. But what happens when everyone looks away and ignores the situation? What happens if that one person can stand up and fight for the protection of these horses? Others will follow them and help. If you can be a leader and spread the word to horse lovers, animal lovers and people who can help YOU could be the difference between life, death, and torture for these animals.
Right now in BLM holding facilities across the US there are more than 30,000 mustangs that are waiting to be adopted. Now many of these horses are facing the possibility of DEATH or being sold without protection. Being sold without protection means that they can be sold to anyone for any purpose for cheap. They can sell these horses to a meat buyer and they will be hauled to Mexico or Canada for slaughter. If you don't think that is so bad why don't you go to youtube.com and type in horse slaughter or mexican horse slaughter and see if you still think it's not so bad. Or these horses can be sold to rodeos and used as a "roping dummy" or used for "horse tripping". The photos below are of a 5-12 month old colt (before and after) who was used at a Charreada Rodeo as a roping dummy then purchased from a slaughter feedlot in Colorado. He had skull fractures, a fractured eye socket, lacerations, gashes, rope burns, and abrasions. He was also 150lbs under weight. He was worked with, nourished back to health, and adopted. The most amazing thing of all is that even after all of the torture and degrading things he lived through in his young life, he trusts humans again.

Above: Longshot at the feedlot (before) Below: Longshot at his new home (after)

No animal or any living being deserves to be treated like Longshot was and no life should be snuffed out until every other alternative is exhausted first.

You can do it. Just try to do something! Don't just sit by and turn the other cheek and let this pass. You can't always save them all, but YOU CAN make a difference for at least one. Please spread the word and PLEASE help us save the mustangs!
